There is Train sim world but the game is starting to suffer the same problems that TS have and is running on unreal engine 4 Sadly there are so few options that you have to die with train simulator or play MS train simulator that looks outdated and awfull This is why i pirate the game because with my potato and the 0 engine optimization i wouldn't waste money on this simulator Is way before it became train simulator, since Railworks, the main problem is the absolute zero optimization on the game engine, is runs bad and will keep running bad unless you have a very high end single core performance cpu and still will run "ok'ish" ( this also happens on Omsi bus simulator, the engine is just not cut to run heavy physics )Īpart from that there is no settings or tweak within w10 or the gpu control panel that could help to smooth the bad framerate, simply the engine is badĭovetail doesn't care, they only trow new DLC and fuck off the rest of the game Company's like Dtg deserve to get ripped off They have a captive audience that buys absolute rubbish no matter what Unfortunately the free dlc won't work unless you spend lots of money on dlcĭtg rely on trainspottings addictive nature. Anything official and always expensive is badly made. Enthusiastic people make some superb routes with decent graphics. So to play one route you mayneed to spend up to £500. This is because of what they call dependancies. Ts19 is exactly the same code game as ts12Ī new route may cost 30 quid but it won't work unless you have bought other dlc. Every year they rebadge the previous years gane and release the exact same game with a new year number. The game can't run properly no matter what and Dtg don't care. If you run at low res or high res it makes no difference. Train simulator is the biggest rip off in the hisoryy of gaming Greetings.Dtg are one of the many reasons people pirate (For Quick drives there are are no reversings allowed ! Junctions are fixed at start in a QD scenario. Then open the 2D map and select with the green "+" button in a continious way all intermediate stations. If you put it before a signal at a terminal station and as front selected, a too long train crashes at once. This is important: At a terminal station put it near the end of the track and select back. Then right click to not put another one and click on the bottom of the marker, and a window at right opens: type there your origin point (it doesn't have to be an existing place, type whatever you like (but this will appear as origin in the list of quick drives) Very important : select front/center/back of your train. Make sure the direction is right ! (it automatically points to North, change by shift and click on it). ![]() For example: you like a free roam scenario on the route Munchen to Garmisch with a UK Class 90 starting at Starnberg: Select Satrnberg as starting position and put your train there AND give it a driver ! (Very important to give it a driver icon, looks like the head with hat on the left upper) For Quick Drive scenarios: Go to the place you want to start, and unther "infrastructure" (that sign with the old signal) you find "Marker Player Spawn Point" : put it near the track and the arrow that comes with it ON the track where you want to start. With the little blue box with a yellow arrow on the left you can add all rolling stock you have. For a free roam scenario: Go via building > scenario > Free Roam scenario > select a starting place and give it a name. ![]() As long as no other moving trains are involved, it's done in 5 minutes. ![]() You can always and very easily make your free roam or quick drive scenarios. You just need to add some alternative route/loco DLC content (that contains these scenario types) to find something under these two game menus. So hope that reassures you, there's nothing wrong with your game. Again the majority of 3rd party developer routes come with generous numbers of Standard Scenarios. The majority of the 'older' routes for the game (and there are many extremely good ones!) do come with plenty of Standard Scenarios, and most have a few Free-Roam scenarios as well. Hence that's why your Drive-Standard and Drive-Freeroam menus are empty i.e. So modern routes (and these will include all the default ones included as the official TS2016 and TS2017 routes) only come with Career Scenarios. This has been the case for the last couple of years, since a change in policy at the time the game's developer rebranded from RSC to DTG. Modern routes created by DTG sold in the Steam Store generally do not come with any Standard or Free-Roam Scenarios.
